Retirement Wishes

Quotes

The easiest way to send you congratulations would be by using quotes.  It saves yourself from racking your brain to come up with something cleaver and inspiring when many other people before you have already spoken about retirement or send their wishes to someone special in their lives.

"Retirement is the time when you never do all the things you intended to do when you were still working."

Author Unknown

This should be every retiree's motto!  That's pretty much all I have to say about this quote.

"I have never liked working. To me a job is an invasion of privacy."

Danny McGoorty

"The other day a man asked me what I thought was the best time of life. "Why," I answered without a thought, "now.""

David Grayson

That is exactly what retirement is suppose to be, the best time in your life.  I think some people go into retirement a little worried about not having anything to do, being bored, etc.  But no one should feel this way about retirement.  Make retirement the best time in your life.  You create your own future and the time you spend retired is the time you create for yourself.

"Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."

George Bernard Shaw

"Retirement has been a discovery of beauty for me.  I never had the time before to notice the beauty of my grandkids, my wife, the tree outside my very own front door.  And, the beauty of time itself."
Hartman Jule
Retirement opens up our eyes of what we had been missing while we were working 70% of our life away. It was a definite necessity, but its too bad that being in the work force means we miss so much of our personal life. Its too bad there canít be more of a balance between working and living.
